About us
About us
7Palestine is an independent initiative preserving the visual archive of October 7 in Palestine, from two angles: news and human.
- 01
What the archive is
An open digital visual archive documenting October 7 in Palestine through photos and videos: the news coverage that follows the sequence of events as journalists and news agencies reported it, and the human scene that records people, their reactions and the day’s impact on their lives.
- 02
Why we document
To keep this material from being lost, deleted or falsified, and to keep it available, dated and attributed to its sources, for researchers, journalists, human rights organizations and the public.
- 03
Who is behind it
An independent initiative run by an editorial team that finds material and receives it from photographers, correspondents and news organizations, and verifies it before publication.
- 04
What we publish and what we exclude
We publish journalistic and humanitarian documentation only, with the photographer or organization and a link to the original source. We exclude material of unknown origin, fabricated material, and material reused from earlier events.
- 05
How we verify
We trace the earliest published copy of each item, match its place and time, and check for signs of digital editing. An item carries the “Verified” badge only after these steps are complete.
- 06
Access and rights
Browsing is free, needs no account or sign-in, and uses no cookies to track visitors. Every item remains the property of its owners; non-commercial research and journalistic use is allowed with credit to the original source and 7Palestine.
